Our History

Ferra & Co is the first private Albanian company for the import and distribution of sugar in Albania.

Ferra & CO was established in 1993 as a family business by Isuf Ferra. Dedication and passion for work transformed the company into a large business, a leader in Albania. It introduced packaged sugar under the Ferra & Co brand to the Albanian consumer in 1994, which is now marketed under the KING brand.

  • The vision to grow the company continued when Ferra & Co became an importer of rice from the best international companies, ensuring quality for consumers.
  • The product range has further expanded to include flour, beans, lentils, pasta, and more.

Production Line

Sugar Production

For the packaging of sugar, three state-of-the-art European technology machines are used.

  • The machines, equipped with filtration systems, ensure maximum hygiene of the product before packaging. 
  • Vacuum valves clean the dust and any other possible residues from the product.
  • Additionally, thanks to the filtration systems, environmental pollution is reduced to 0.

We have chosen Italian technology for the packaging of rice. With the best European certifications for food machinery, this technology also ensures maximum hygiene before and during packaging.

  • Rice is packaged in a semi-vacuum, which increases the product's shelf life.

  • Flour is a delicate product that must be kept under maximum hygiene during both transportation and packaging.

Production Line

Oil Production

This machine is equipped with a liquid nitrogen injection system that removes oxygen from the bottle and prevents oil oxidation.

  • The sunflower oil packaging line consists of several machines for blowing, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging in cartons.
  • The oil is packaged in formats ranging from 0.5 liters to 3 liters. Before blowing, the pipettes pass through an oven at a temperature of 110°C, ensuring their sterilization.
  • Next, the process of blowing is applied, where a pressure of 30 bar is used. Once the bottles are blown, they proceed to the filling process.
